We have been discussing the elements of story since the first week of school, and this is your chance to prove to me that you know it!
Know the meanings of the following terms, or more importantly–know how to LOCATE these elements in a story and explain the impact!
VP p. 17 #4 Constructing a graph from a data table. This is what our checkpoint will be like tomorrow.
VP p. 16 # 2 and 3.
We will have a Checkpoint on graphing on Friday.
We started a new book today called Variables and Patterns. (VP for short)
VP p. 23 # 13-16. Write out the problem and the answer.

Know your rules:
Addition:Â same signs:Â ADD and keep the same sign
               different signs: SUBTRACT and use the sign of the greater absolute value.
Subtraction:Â Change to Adding the Opposite and follow addition rules.
Mult/div:Â Same signs = positive ans; Diff signs = neg. answer.
