SS p. 84-85 #3,4,5. These problems will help you review for the summative. The summative assessment has once more been pushed back until Friday.
Practice, memorize, and prepare speeches paying special attention to volume, enunciation, inflection, pitch (modulation), eye contact, posture, and pacing. Record self and watch/listen back to make needed adjustments.Â
PRESENTATIONS WILL BE ON FEBRUARY 2nd ANDÂ 3rd!
Regarding the costume, please do not feel the need to spend money. Challenge yourself to be creative; every single costume can be effectively done with cardboard, aluminum foil, and a carefully draped bedsheet or tablecloth. Empty wrapping paper tubes can be doctored into great swords or spears…cut an old hula hoop in half and run twine through it for a bow… Â
And remember, the costume is only ONE out of EIGHT components to be graded. You could have the world’s greatest costume and still earn a D if you are unprepared, are missing information, or fail to maintain eye contact……OR you could have an awful costume and earn an A because your volume and enthusiasm engaged us all! In summary, don’t spend too much time on the costume–they’re just for fun. You should be spending your time rehearsing again and again and again and again and again.Â
Half green sheet on scale factor. Some of you will have to retake the checkpoint tomorrow. We will also review for the summative. The summative has been moved back to Thursday.
The Summative Assessment for Ratios and Missing Side lengths will be on Wednesday, February 1st.
SS p. 67 # 3, 4. You will need graph paper.
Checkpoint tomorrow on ratios.
Third Quarter Prompts are now available on the “pages” tabs to the right as well as on my teacher page.Â
Like last quarter, students should complete one each week in any order until all eight are done. One should be turned in every Friday. Once a student is behind, a Z will be randomly assigned to one entry as a signal to parents that the student has not kept up with the one-a-week completion.
Â
The first one should be turned in THIS FRIDAY!Â
