Third Quarter Prompts are now available on the “pages” tabs to the right as well as on my teacher page.Â
Like last quarter, students should complete one each week in any order until all eight are done. One should be turned in every Friday. Once a student is behind, a Z will be randomly assigned to one entry as a signal to parents that the student has not kept up with the one-a-week completion.
Â
The first one should be turned in THIS FRIDAY!Â
Â
Â
Make sure you have done all eight topics for reading journals.Â
You can access the prompts under “pages” in the right-hand column. Check Pinnacle or ask me to see which ones you are missing.Â
Since I am assessing your use of a certain skill/strategy, you can still receive full credit. One more week…finish strong!
Study your pink dialogue notes. We will have a quick assessment tomorrow.
For an extra point, watch this BrainPop video and print or email your passing quiz results!

In your reading journals, in place of a regular entry, define point of view and the major types of point of view. Also, define foreshadowing.
To help you review, watch this BrainPop video and take the quiz! Print out or email me your quiz results to fill a missing journal! ssaunders@mayfieldschools.org

For the next two weeks, a book project graphic organizer can take the place of a journal entry. (The pink graphic organizer can count for 2 journals…one per side completed).Â
Monday will be another opportunity to post book reviews or writing to the moodle site!  Bring your materials so that you can make the most of your time!
