Create 2 Speed, 2 Time, and 2 Distance Story Problems

Complete the Distance, Time, Speed Practice Prolems 1-11 plus Challenge Problem

Complete Lab - Graph and questions 8-11 (if you didn’t turn it in during today’s class period)

I also sent home a flyer to students interested in volunteering for the Science Showcase on February 28th - 6:30 - 8:00.  Please let me know if you would like to assist in presenting probe technology!  I would like to know by tomorrow.  Thanks!

Graph your lab results:

1. Calculate the average time for each set of trials.
2. Calculate the average speed for each set of trials by using the following formula:  speed = distance/time.
3. Graph your results on a piece of graph paper (be sure the x-axis runs along the long side of the paper).
4. Label your x-axis (time) and your y axis (distance).  Be sure to label the unit for each axis.
5. Plot data for the 4 sets of trials.  Plot the distance (300 cm) and average time for each set of trials.   You will have four lines on your line graph.  Continue the line so it extends through your point.  Use a ruler to draw your line.  All four lines will begin at the origin and go through one of the four points that you plotted.
6. Create a key for each line (the total mass as the label for each line).  For example…a red line indicates a car with a mass of 438 g.  A blue line indicates a car with a mass of 733 g…and so forth
