Hatchet is a survival book. Brian was only a boy on an airplane. That ride changed his life. His pilot taught him how to fly the plane. Then, all of a sudden, the pilot had a heart attack. Brian had to fly the plane. This is a book about Brian’s adventures with only a hatchet his mom gave him.

I loved this book as a kid! I’ll have to pick it up and enjoy it again.
This is a great survival book! Did you know that Gary Paulson, the author, has written several books about Brian, the main character in Hatchet?
This is the best survival book ever. I think that the part when brian gets rescued is the best part!

This book is VERY good. Gary Paulsen is a great author and this is a perfect book for those of u who love great survival books. If you like this one…………there’s a sequal!!!!!!

Actually I believe this book has 2 sequels. Well, sort of 2 sequels. One of the books tells what happens after Brian is saved. The other book is about what would have happened if Brian wasn’t saved. You’re right, Samantha. If you like survival books, Gary Paulsen writes them.
