If you love fairy tales and your world has Prince Charming as mayor and Snow White knows karate, then this book is perfect for you.  That’s life for Sabrina and Daphne Grimm.  They’ ve been living in an orphanage ever since their parents disappeared.  Now they’re sent to live with their grandmother, who they thought was dead, in Fairy Port Landing.  As Sabrina figures out that Fairy Port Landing is like a jail for fairy tale creatures, she has a giant problem.  The giant takes her grandmother and her old friend, Mrs. Canis, also known as the Big Bad Wolf.  Will Sabrina and Daphne save their family and adapt to like their new home?  I love fairy tales and fractured ones too!

The Gingerbread Girl by Lisa Campbell Ernst November 13, 2008

In the story there is a little old woman and man who make a gingerbread girl.  She runs away and gets chased.  When she gets to the river, there is a fox waiting.  Before the fox can say “hop to my lips,” the gingerbread girl gets some of her hair and ties it around the fox’s mouth.

I really like this book because it is funny and because I like gingerbread people.  In most gingerbread stories, the gingerbread person dies, but if you read this story something different happens.  I can’t tell you what happens in the story.  You have to read it yourself to find out.
