Word Cell Quiz coming soon October 14, 2009

This week will be the 5th week for word cells, this means we will have our first word cell quiz soon. (We will take a cumulative quiz every 5 lessons)

Word cells are “parts” of a word, better knows as prefixes and suffixes. 3-4 word cells are introduced every Wednesday and homework is always due on Thursday.

Parents, you could help your child by pointing out prefixes and suffixes when you see them, making flash card of the word cells and their meaning, or just help them come up with example for each word.

Students, the best way to review for the upcoming quiz is to look over your past word cell sheets from the word cell section of your binder. Make flash cards if you need to, or use a buddy to quiz you.

Post some of your favorite example from lessons 1-5 as a comment on this blog.
