Posted by kvincent in : ALL TECC , add a commentOn Thursday January 29 we had nearly 900 10th grade students visit our Opportunity Day and over 350 parents/guardians and students visit the same evening for Opportunity Night held at Mayfield high school. All 21 of our programs were on display with instructors and current students available to answer questions. The atmosphere was festive with visitors very curious about the exciting options that are open to them as high school students. Most of our programs are two-year junior-senior courses that fit into the ‘electives’ slot in the school schedule and they are housed at sites throughout our consortium. Students can still participate in their home residence school activities, like band and sports, no matter where their Excel TECC program is located. The next step now is for students to obtain an application from their home school counselor, fill it out and return it to their counselor who will sign it and send it to Excel TECC. Interviews will be granted to all applicants through a field trip on Interview Day - Wednesday February 18.
