Welcome to ‘TECC talk’ - a forum for ideas and information about Excel TECC. Excel Technical Education Career Consortium is the career technical education department for a nine-district consortium of Cleveland Ohio eastern suburban schools: Aurora, Beachwood, Chagrin Falls, Mayfield, Orange, Richmond Heights, Solon, South Euclid-Lyndhurst and West Geauga. We offer 21 career technical program choices to high school students: Audio & Video Production Arts; Auto Mechanics; Business Academy; Computer Aided Design/Drafting (CADD); Computers, Networking & Electronics; Construction Management; Construction Trades; Cosmetology; Culinary Arts; Early Childhood Education; Hospitality & Food Service Careers; Interactive Media; Information, Technology & Programming; Job Training; Marketing; Medical Careers Technology; Medical Technologies; Performing Arts Academy; Public Safety Academy; Visual Art & Design. The administrative office is located in Mayfield High School in Mayfield Village. Career technical education programs are housed at Aurora, Beachwood, Chagrin Falls, Mayfield, Orange, and Brush high schools; Fairmount Early Childhood Education Center; Lakeland Community College; Cuyahoga Community College; Ursuline College; the Cleveland Botanical Garden; and the Environmental Education Center in Gates Mills. Most programs are two-year junior-senior courses, with several offerings as one-year senior-only programs.
Excel TECC programs are designed to provide expanded options to all students. These include college preparatory, tech prep, school-to-work, and other educational learning opportunities.
